Le TRAM de TOURS

In September of 2013, I went to France to visit my grand aunt in Tours. She took me on many trips, including the Doors Open Days that happened just at the time, the castle of Chinon, and tuff caves near to Tours. I was especially intrigued by the new tram, which had only been operating for 10 days at the time of my arrival!

Many parts of the tram facilities were designed by the artist Daniel Buren. He made the tram not only serve as a means of transport, but also as a piece of art to explore for everyone. This short film gathers many perspectives on the futuristic tram, and shows its artful incorporation into the cityscape of Tours.
