[Great Classics] Revolutionary Étude

It is my great pleasure to open my new series “Great Classics” with this … great classic. The series is meant to primarily feature classical pieces from my repertoire.

This 12th Étude in C minor from Chopin’s Opus 10 was one of the most fascinating piano works to me until now. I started working on this piece in the last months of 2016, the recording captures the progress in April 2017. Many thanks to Karen Remmler and Dieter Dörrenbächer for their kind support of this recording in the musical school of my hometown. Thanks are also due to my longstanding piano instructor Christian Schomers, who helps me with “transferring” the music into my own “format” and without whom this series would not exist in the first place.
